During the Second World War, thousands of service members trained for combat and needed to learn who the good guys and bad guys were that they might be 
shooting at. Part of their training included using “silhouette models” of the various aircraft they might see in combat.
This model is a plastic reproduction of a cardboard model distributed to US military personnel of the Taylorcraft L-2.
